Spiritual direction helps us listen contemplatively to God’s movement in our lives.
Bellarmine offers a three-year training program for Spiritual Directors focusing on the dynamics of spiritual direction in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s Spiritual Exercises. A spiritual director in training will learn how to help a person listen contemplatively to the movements of the Holy Spirit.
The three year program presents the foundational principles in Ignatian Spirituality and Christian decision-making. Theory and practice combine to develop skills in fostering intimacy with God and discernment of God’s presence and action. These skills apply to the life of the director and the person they assist in spiritual direction.
